It's National Marine Week - join us as we celebrate our marine & coastal environment

Over the next two weeks, we will be discussing everything marine-related in Kent!

Welcome to National Marine Week!

I’m Marie and I work as an ecologist with Kent Wildlife Trust Consultancy, part of the Kent Wildlife Trust Group.

This year, we’re taking part in National Marine Week - a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of, and celebrate, the marine and coastal environment.

We will be featuring events, activities and fantastic stories across our social media, from 25th July-7th August.

Join us on a guided tour around some of Kent’s fantastic coastline, meet some of our wildlife up close, and learn about how we’re tackling key marine and coastal issues to combat the climate and nature crises. There’s even opportunities for you to get involved from your home!

Keep on our social media over the next two weeks to find out about amazing events such as:

By following along with National Marine Week, you will also learn some "Easy hacks to help fight plastic pollution from your home" and hear about key terms such as "Coastal realignment" and "Biodiversity Net Gain".

You will also hear about some of our amazing project partners at The Crown Estate and Vattenfall.
