Sponsor a Plot or protect a whole reserve today

Save Kent's wild spaces. The journey to protect our natural world can begin with a single patch of land. Sponsor for just £250 per quarter acre plot!

Find a reserve near you

Our natural world is in trouble. Across the UK, and here in Kent, habitats are being destroyed and some of our most iconic species, like hedgehogs and dormice, are struggling to find a place in the world. But small, local action really can make a difference. The journey to protect our natural world can begin with a single patch of land.

By sponsoring one or more ¼ acre plots on a nature reserve today, or the whole reserve, you can help to secure a brighter future for Kent’s wild spaces.

Whether commemorating a loved one, celebrating a major life event, or showcasing your organizations’ commitment to the environment, Sponsoring a Reserve gives you a chance to leave your mark for nature by enabling vital conservation work to continue for years to come.

Your sponsorship

Sponsorship costs £250 per quarter acre plot.

By Sponsoring a Plot, you’ll receive an official sponsorship certificate in the post, as well as a digital version online.

Your dedication message will appear as a ‘digital plaque’ on our reserves page, allowing you to share the gift of a greener future with friends and family across the world.

Add a real plaque showcasing your love for nature, honouring the memory of a loved one, or celebrating one of life's milestones, and it will be displayed at the entrance of the reserve.

The difference your donation will make

Your sponsorship will help to support the protection of wildlife and natural ecosystems across over 9,500 acres of natural space across Kent.

Nature is one of our most precious resources, but it’s at risk. Development, pollution, habitat fragmentation and climate change are just some of the mounting pressures being placed on Kent’s wild spaces.

Every time we embark on a woodland walk, take a chilly dip in the sea, picnic with our loved ones or take our children on an epic, wild adventure, nature is helping us become happier and healthier. But what if nature wasn’t there? What if our towering oak woodlands suddenly disappeared? What if our grandchildren never get to see a hedgehog?

As the Garden of England, Kent is defined by its beautiful and abundant wildlife and rolling green countryside. How we leave these precious landscapes and the action we take to protect them will be our legacy.

This idyllic reserve showcases the colourful beauty of English wildlflower meadows. Sadly, 97% of British meadows have been lost in the last 75 years. Sponsor this reserve and help to protect this precious, rare habitat, ensuring its wildflowers will bloom for years to come.

Sponsor Brenchley Wood and help safeguard rare ancient woodland and heathland

This quiet reserve, comprised of ancient woodland, has the ability to be home to more species than any other land-based habitat. But now, this habitat covers just 2.5% of the UK. Sponsor Brenchley Wood today and help preserve this vital ecosystem.

Sponsor Lydden Temple Ewell and protect a rare oasis for butterflies

On the outskirts of Dover lies the sweeping steep slopes of ancient semi-natural chalk grasslands, a habitat that, when managed for wildlife, can host as many as 40 plant species per square metre. At Lydden your sponsorship will support an abundance of insects, land snails, orchids and birds.

Why should I help protect nature?

Our nature reserves are precious habitats and home to native wildlife. How we leave them will be our legacy. How we treat them now will affect impact climate and nature during our lifetime. By sponsoring a plot or protecting a whole reserve we are contributing to making our world a greener, more biodiverse place. How we treat our world, and our relationship with nature, will be the story of our generation. It’s up to us to set the standard, to show up for nature and create a legacy of hope instead of destruction.
