What is MyWilderKent?
MyWilderKent is a digital platform designed to support people across Kent in taking simple, meaningful steps for nature. Whether you’re planting wildflowers, joining a local clean-up, reducing water use, or creating a hedgehog highway, this app will help you find ideas that suit your space and lifestyle.
- Personalised profile - allows you to record what you're up to and plan your actions for the future, all tracked against your growing Impact Score and Reward Track.
- Wilding is rewarding - You'll be able to earn badges, take part in seasonal activities, and celebrate your community's progress against others' in the leaderboards.
- Get inspired to help nature! - A wealth of inspiration awaits you across our live map, showing nature-positive activity happening all around the county and helping you feel connected to a growing community working together for wildlife.
- Resources & support on your biodiversity journey - We understand that knowing where to start can be difficult, and that for some, especially those with limited mobility or access to information, it can feel even harder to take part. That's why MyWilderKent has been built as a welcoming, user-friendly digital gateway, aiming to remove barriers, offering resources, guidance, and inspiration in a clear and accessible way, no matter your starting point.
- Created by the conservation community - This project has been developed in close collaboration with our Digital Development team, wider Kent Wildlife Trust staff, and communities from across the county. Your feedback and ideas have been essential in shaping what the app has grown to become.

How to install the MyWilderKent app
- Visit mywilderkent.app on your mobile device to go to the app itself
- Install MyWilderKent from your mobile's web browser by:
- Clicking 'Share' and 'Add to Home Screen' (Safari on an iPhone/iPad)
- Clicking the 3-dot menu and 'Add to Home Screen' and/or 'Install' (Firefox or Google Chrome on Android)

Frequently asked questions
Open the MyWilderKent app in your mobile browser, tap the browser menu (usually three dots or the share icon), and select 'Install' or 'Add to Home Screen' to add the app to your device.
No, you don't have to be a member in order to have and use the MyWilderKent app. The app is free and is designed for anybody in Kent who wants to take action for nature.
As part of our Wilder Kent 2030 strategy, one of our key goals is to increase the number of people taking meaningful action for wildlife by 25%. Read the full strategy here. Our hope is that MyWilderKent becomes your go-to companion for nature, helping you see the difference you're making in your day-to-day life, while connecting you with others who share your passion for a wilder Kent.
We understand that not everyone will want to share their amazing nature actions with others. On MyWilderKent, you have the ability to make your entire profile or individual actions private if you'd prefer. The app has been designed to act as a support to help you take part in nature action whichever way suits you.
When adding or editing an action, set its visibility to Private to keep it visible only to you.
To make your whole profile private, in My Profile, you can click into Manage Details and this will give you the option to make your entire profile private and not searchable by others. Any actions or activities that you've taken part in will also be hidden from public view.
On the Actions page, you will find a map of publicly viewable actions that have been added to the app. You can view these as a list by clicking 'List' or using the filter icon to narrow down what you can see.
Alternatively, in our Discover page, you can search for other users by their publicly viewable Username and then follow them to receive notifications of their journey with MyWilderKent.
On the Actions page, you can click the plus (+) button and follow along to fill in the details of the action you've either pledged to take part in or have already completed.
Yes! You can upload one or more images to an action to show what you've done or the impact you've made. Please refer to our T&Cs for more details on moderation and storage of image content uploaded to MyWilderKent.
Yes, absolutely. The easiest way is in My Profile. Click on your action count to get to your Pledged and Completed Actions. Click on the action you wish to amend or remove, and click on the top right dotted menu in the Action Details screen. Here you can click Edit or Delete to achieve any changes you'd like made.
Badges are earned for completing at least three of a group of themed actions or activities. Once earnt, your badges are displayed in your profile for others to see your achievement!
You earn impact points by pledging and completing nature actions and activities across the app. These points build your impact score, which contributes to your impact level in the reward track.
As your impact level increases, you unlock milestones that include exclusive reward codes. These can be used to claim discounts and other rewards across Kent Wildlife Trust.
Not at all. You can pledge future actions, explore the community map, or just use the app to find inspiration for your next gardening project!
