Explore our seas and shores

Marine wildlife is an inspiration for the people of Kent and the UK, who value the sea for the many varied reasons it supports our quality of life, from being a place for commerce to a place of play, to a place of beauty. You can get involved with our vital marine survey programmes as a diver or a shore volunteer.

Make a wildlife haven for our Wild About Gardens Awards Scheme

Kent’s wildlife needs your help. By making your garden welcoming to nature you can create those vital stepping stones and corridors that creatures such as hedgehogs need. Our Wild About Gardens Award scheme celebrates gardening for wildlife and offers the chance to talk to our volunteer advisors for ideas about how to do even more for nature with your own wild patch.

Go wild with your camera

Our annual wildlife photography competition is an excellent opportunity to get your camera skills recognised and appreciated and a fantastic reason to get outside and get up close to nature. With five categories to choose from, the competition is open to entrants of all ages with a wide variety of wildlife photos - and all for the chance to win our fantastic sponsored prizes.

Join our Ecology Groups and aid our vital monitoring work in Kent

Ecology Groups are for anyone to get involved with, no matter your level of knowledge; all you need is an interest in wildlife and we'll teach you everything else you need to know. Identifying the species is easier than you might think and we have a support and training network to support and develop our volunteers.

Campaign with us

Kent Wildlife Trust is working to raise awareness of the issues affecting wildlife. We campaign for positive change for nature and people and helping local communities to save special places for wildlife. We welcome the support of Kent's communities with these campaigns - together we can work to protect wildlife now and into the future.
