About the event

This half-term, join Kent Wildlife Trust's Education team to discover the pond life at Tyland Barn. You'll learn how to safely pond dip without disturbing the wildlife, and have a go at identifying the creatures you find.

Find out more as you follow the trail around the grounds, and make a journey stick as you walk.

We'll provide all the materials and equipment needed for the activities, and you'll take home your journey stick. You may like to wear something easy to clean.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, £10 tickets give admission for one child and one adult. These events are popular with accompanying adults too! To help with capacity, any additional adults attending will require their own ticket. Free spaces are available for babies and toddlers who are too young to take part in the activities (recommended for over 3 years, but this is at your discretion). Please make sure you book a ticket for everyone attending in your group.

Tickets are available for three sessions across the day. Please note that the timings are approximate as everyone will approach the activities at a different pace. You may find you have finished before the suggested time or that you would like to stay longer. You are welcome to be onsite any time between 10am and 4pm for exploring or picnicking. The Pond Cafe will also be open for lunches, snacks and hot drinks.
