Walkers in the Kent countryside

Walkers are invited to take part in the annual KM Charity Walk to support The Kent Wildlife Trust.

The annual walk - now in its 23rd year - is staged by the charity department at the KM Group. This year's big walk will be held on Sunday, June 24th, 2018.

Leaving from the beautiful Grade II listed mansion, Mote House, at Maidstone participants will have the choice of a gentle five-mile route or a more challenging 10-mile route for keen ramblers.

Both are designed to be varied, interesting and fairly flat with some occasional hills. As always, the walk will take you along the pretty highways and byways of the stunning Kent countryside.

The 10-mile route will talk walkers to Leeds Castle and back to the mansion. Back in the beautiful mansion gardens we will have a BBQ supplied by Mote House, as well as food and drink stalls. You will be able to listen to Kent band Acoustic Tones and will be rewarded a goodie-bag and medal on completion.

Event organiser Sophie Wallace urged people to take the challenge to support The Kent Wildlife Trust.

“This is a lovely gentle way to raise money for this excellent cause, which can be enjoyed with your family or with a group of friends or colleagues. The walk will give superb views of our beautiful countryside as an added perk for participants,” he said.

All ages are welcome, and children under 16 even go free when you book online. Book now at www.kmcharitywalk.co.uk

Seventy percent of the sponsorship raised by supporters will go to Kent Wildlife Trust while the remaining 30 percent will go towards the children’s road safety work of the KM Charity Team.
