As part of the Wilder Blean Festival, try crafting with natural materials as a way to connect to the woodland.
Natural crafts combine two elements proven to have a positive impact on wellness; creativity and the great outdoors! Using simple tools and the beautiful surroundings of West Blean woods as your inspiration, crafting with nature is a lovely way to slow down for a couple of hours.
As part of the Wilder Blean Festival, celebrating the inspiring woodland landscape of the Blean, this introductory session gives you the chance to discover how natural crafts can benefit your wellness. Regular attendees of Louise's Crafting with Nature events are welcome to attend, but this session will be particularly aimed at newcomers or those who may have been unsure of joining an event previously. Don't worry if you don't consider yourself creative or artistic, come and give it a go!
Louise, from Kent Wildlife Trust's Wellbeing Team, will be leading this event. We'll be based outside, so please bring layers to keep you warm and something waterproof. There may be a short, gentle walk included, so walking boots or sturdy shoes are recommended.
