Our Bison Rangers are the people who know the Wilder Blean project and its animals the best!
As part of the Wilder Blean Festival, celebrating the inspiring woodland landscape of the Blean, this special guided tour will give you the opportunity to meet one of the team.
They'll lead you through the woods as they explain the theory behind the project and the impact that's been seen so far, as well as giving you an insight into the characteristics of the bison herd and how the team monitor and care for them.
Please be aware that the bison do roam freely and there's every chance they could be deep within the woodland for the duration of the tour, meaning they are not visible from the areas we can access. However, your Bison Ranger will try their absolute best to get you a sighting!
This event will involve walking for the majority of the three hours, and the pace will be fairly quick. Most of the route will be on a track, but this can be muddy and is rough and uneven in places.
