Come and see what Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve has to offer for families with pre-school aged children.
As we open the newly refurbished Visitor Centre at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, find out about some of the activities we have on offer throughout the year at the reserve for pre-schoolers.
Nature Tots runs termly on Monday and Thursday mornings, and can inpire a love of nature that lasts a lifetime. It is aimed at 2 to 5 year olds, encouraging them to explore, discover and learn from nature using the ethos of Forest School. Each week includes a selection of activites from arts and crafts to investigation and construction, giving children the opportunity to lead their own learning and gain a sense of achievement. All in the beautiful, natural surroundings of the reserve.
Between 10am and 12pm on Monday 2 March, you'll be able to meet the team who lead Nature Tots, see some typical activities happening and visit the areas of the reserve regularly used during the sessions.
On the first Wednesday of each month, we'll also be hosting a story telling session at the Visitor Centre. Lasting around 30 minutes, this will be a lovely way to enjoy a change of scenery, meet other families with toddlers, and treat yourself to a hot drink as one of the Kent Wildlife Trust team engages the children with a story inspired by nature.
We'll be starting today's Welcome to Sevenoaks opportunity with a story at around 10am, and you'll receive a 2 for 1 coffee voucher to use either during your visit or when you return to the reserve during March.
Whether you were a regular before the building project started or have never visited before, come along for this opportunity to meet some of the Kent Wildlife Trust team and discover how the reserve might become your (and your toddler's) new favourite place to be!
