Step away from the rush and give yourself a morning to breathe, wander, and really see the world around you. On this guided walk through the beautiful Sevenoaks Nature Reserve, you’ll use nothing more than your camera phone to slow down, look closer, and capture the details most people miss.
Mindful Photography Walk at Sevenoaks Nature Reserve
During the event, you’ll go for a gentle guided walk around the reserve and have the opportunity to try simple, practical techniques that help you take more meaningful, purposeful photos no technical knowledge or fancy equipment required.
As you move along the trails, you’ll pause to explore the colours hidden in moss and leaves, the textures of bark and stone, the contrast between light and shadow, and the quiet patterns that nature repeats in every season. You’ll get close to the ground, look up into the canopy, and frame the small moments that tell a bigger story.
By taking considered photographs, you’ll start to see the reserve differently, the shifting light on the water, the rhythm of branches, the subtle signs of growth and decay that reveal nature’s constant cycle. Each image becomes a reminder to be present, to observe, and to appreciate the world as it is ,unfiltered, unhurried, and full of detail.
This event will be led by a member of Kent Wildlife Trust's Wellbeing Team all you'll need is your camera phone. Remember we'll be outdoors, so come dressed for the weather and wear comfortable footwear for walking.
