We will be meeting at 9.30 at Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory (Venue: Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory, Guilford Rd, Sandwich Bay, Sandwich CT13 9PF.)
We will lead participants on a guided walk down to the sand dunes, looking out for birdlife and summer flora and fauna on the way. We will collect beach cleaning equipment down on the beach and spend some time removing plastic and ghost netting from the strandline. We will avoid the top of the beach so as not to disturb shore nesting birds. We will head back to the Bird Observatory where there are facilities, a shop and even an option to grab a hot drink. We aim to be back at the centre by midday.
Please dress for the weather and bring a drink and sun protection with you.
Unfortunately the tracks to the beach are not fully accessible, however the Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory does other have fully accessible event options.
