This National Seal Week, enjoy a guided walk at Pegwell Bay to learn about coastal wildlife including the local harbour seals.

Our knowledgeable warden will guide you through the National Nature Reserve, exploring a multitude of wildlife including the fascinating seals that rest on these protected mudflats. We might even get the chance to spot some young harbour seal pups. We will show you how you can seal watch from the coast path without causing these vulnerable animals, disturbance.

Some paths are narrow with rough terrain and will require use of stairs and kissing gate not suitable for wheelchair users. Please ensure you wear sturdy footwear (during periods of wet weather waterproof footwear is advisable) and wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions. PLEASE BRING BINNOCULARS IF YOU HAVE THEM.

There are toilets at the main entrance to Pegwell Bay Country Park along with a cafe and picnic area. 

Families are welcome but children must be supervised. This event is recomended for over 12s only.

Dogs must be on leads.

Partially accessible

Whilst the majority of the walk is fully accessible there is a section in the middle of the walk which include steps, a kissing gate and a narrow bumpy path.
