Join us to celebrate all of our 2025-2026 Wilder Kent Award winners at Chapel House Estate on Saturday 7th March 2026. 

Join us for the Wilder Kent Awards Ceremony 2025-2026: a celebration of the people and projects helping nature thrive across Kent. This special event brings together schools, community groups, businesses and town councils, along with our fantastic Kent Wildlife Trust volunteers, to recognise inspiring action for wildlife and wild places across Kent. The ceremony is a chance to celebrate achievements, share stories and come together as part of the growing Wilder Kent community.

This year, we are delighted to announce that we have partnered with the stunning Chapel House Estate who will be our host venue. Chapel House Estate were the perfect partner for the 2025-2026 awards due to their commitment to sustainability through biodiversity-friendly land management, habitat creation for wildlife and environmentally responsible practices across the estate.

Keynote speaker

We are also very excited to be welcoming our keynote speaker for this year: Giles Clark. Giles, who lives in Kent, is a conservationist, wildlife presenter and passionate advocate for nature. Through his work, he has helped bring stories of conservation, species protection and the human connection to wildlife to audiences across the UK and beyond.

    Step-free access is available throughout the key event spaces. Accessible toilets are available in the Thorne Barn and restaurant. Designated disabled parking bays are located close to the restaurant. Assistance dogs are welcome across the estate.

Taking part in the Wilder Kent Awards has been an extremely positive and rewarding experience for our whole school community. The framework has helped us recognise, value and build upon the environmental work that was already important to us, while also inspiring new ideas and deeper reflection.

How do I get to Chapel House Estate?

 

By Car

Chapel House Estate is easily accessible by car with on site parking:

By Train

The closest train station to Chapel House Estate is Thanet Parkway Station, with Southeastern High-Speed services running directly from Ashford International, Ebsfleet International, Canterbury, Margate and Ramsgate.

We will be offering a shuttle service to and from the station which must be booked in advance via your RSVP. If you did not request this in your RSVP but would like to take us up on this service, please contact the team on [email protected] and we'll be happy to help.
