The Tree of Life
A symbol of life, diversity, hope, and love. The Tree of Life is found throughout history, across cultures and transcending religion. In science the Tree of Life represents the connection between all living things, and the origins from a single common ancestor that lived 3.5 billion years ago. To us, the Tree of Life is a symbol of our connection to the natural world, our role as stewards of these precious landscapes and of our community, bound together through our love for nature.
Typically planted in the centre of a sacred garden or forest, there could be no better place than the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve for our first Tree of Life. As we breathe new life into the Reserve and The Jeffery Harrison Visitor Centre, we are inviting you to join us and take your place on the Tree of Life.

What your support means
- A gold bird could help fund the purchase and maintenance of conservation grazing animals to help manage landscapes, promote biodiversity and create species rich habitats.
- A gold oak leaf could support the building of rafts and islands, promoting the continued return and breeding of at-risk birds.
- A silver oak leaf could support the Kent Wildlife Trust Wardens and Apprentices to rewet habitats, creating climate resilience and promoting the return of wetland species.
- A bronze oak leaf could fund coastal clean-up, ensuring marine species, coastal birds and at-risk habitats are protected from the negative impact of human actions.
