Safeguarding children, young people, and adults at risk

Kent Wildlife Trust believes that everyone has a role in safeguarding children, young people, and adults at risk. We are committed to ensuring their safety and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do, including our work with volunteers.

As part of the Kent Wildlife Trust Group (KWTG), we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and charity governance. Safeguarding awareness is essential for all volunteers and staff.

If you would like more information on safeguarding awareness, you can access The Wildlife Trust’s online information session here. Please be advised that this contains sensitive content that some may find upsetting.

If you ever have any safeguarding concerns, please contact [email protected]. Alternatively, you can talk to your task day leader/volunteer supervisor for more information and guidance on safeguarding.

If you feel you would benefit from safeguarding awareness training as part of your volunteer role please do email us at [email protected] and we can assign you to an e-learning course.
