Volunteering
As a volunteer Livestock Checker, you can help by checking on our animals once a week on an allocated day.
Our work is seasonal, with mainly repairs and survey work taking place throughout the summer months, and our reserve management work taking place between September and March.

Things to know before you start
- You need to let the relevant Warden know you'll be joining us. This can be done by email or phone.
- You'll need to wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.
- You will need to bring your own lunch and drinks with you.
- Those aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Those aged 16 and 17 can attend with parent/guardians consent.
How do I get involved?
To get started with a group, click the application form link below and complete a short volunteer application form. All your information will then be passed to the staff member who manages that group and they will email you with more information about the upcoming task days.
