The 68th Annual General Meeting 2026

On Saturday 11th July 2026 from 10:30 am we will be holding our Annual General Meeting of members both online and at our newly refurbished Visitor Centre at the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve.

On Saturday 11th July 2026 from 10:30 am we will be holding our Annual General Meeting of members both online and at our newly refurbished Visitor Centre at the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve (click for directions).

We are excited to invite every one of our members to attend and hear about what Kent Wildlife Trust has been doing over the last year to address the nature and climate crises – both in Kent and nationally – and how we have been spending the money raised to fund those activities.

You will receive the Trustee’s Annual Report from our Chair of Council Jane Ibbotson, receive our annual financial accounts from our Honorary Treasurer Rachel Hoey and hear from our Chief Executive, Evan Bowen-Jones about our plans for the future. You will also participate in our governance through the annual election / re-election of our trustees and receive the answers to any questions submitted in advance.

If you haven’t visited our fantastic new Visitor Centre at Sevenoaks this is the perfect opportunity. Why don’t you plan to make a day of it – our new café stocks a range of sandwiches and delicious cakes and there are marked trails for you to walk and enjoy the reserve.

Back by popular demand

We know that last year you really enjoyed the exclusive presentations and Q&A session held after the AGM so we are pleased to confirm the following topics where you can speak to our ‘experts ‘on the ground’:

  • KWT’s Marine & Coastal Work
  • Regenerating intensive agricultural land: Ironhurst Valley
  • What happened next? Restoring chalk downland at Polhill Bank

The team will give a fascinating ‘behind the scenes’ insight into the work the Trust is doing on the ground including our incredible marine and coastal work and the exciting transformation planned at Ironhurst Valley near Lamberhurst. We also want to share the latest on our work at the extension to Polhill Bank which you helped us purchase through a fantastic public campaign in 2024.  Members will have an opportunity to ask live questions to our presenters so if you’re keen to know more this is your chance!

Where can I find out more?

Our 2025 Trustees’ Annual Report will be available here on the KWT website from 19th June along with the agenda for the meeting and any other associated papers. Those who have registered to attend will be sent an email when it is available.

Do you want to ask a question?

If you would like to submit a question to the Trustees or the Chief Executive about the Annual Report, which includes the financial accounts for the year, or anything else please do so by 5pm Monday 6th July. Please submit your question to [email protected]

How much does it cost?

This event is free for members but please do register as early as possible as places are limited.

Register to attend in person here

Can’t make it in person?

No problem, you can still take part online or ask someone else to join on your behalf. Here’s how:

  • Join online – simply book an online ticket and we’ll send you a dedicated link to join the AGM from the comfort of your home.
  • Proxy vote – members can appoint another person to attend and vote in their place. If you would like to arrange a proxy vote please email [email protected] at least seven days before the meeting.

The vital work that we do depends on the support of our members who care about our natural environment and want to see it protected and restored for future generations. We look forward to sharing how your generous support has helped Kent’s wildlife over the last year. We honestly couldn’t do it without you.
