The Guardians of Kent's Coastline

This exciting new project will give everyone the chance to learn more about the astonishing wildlife that lives around Kent’s shores.

The Guardians of the Deep project is a partnership between Kent Wildlife Trust, Thanet District Council, Medway Swale Estuary Partnership, Kent County Council and Natural England.

This project is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Get Involved

It involves local people in the protection and monitoring of Kent’s coastal wildlife and gets young people excited about marine wildlife through a programme of snorkelling activities and practical learning opportunities at coastal sites around the county.
