Event details
About the event
Experience Nature friendly gardens
We are excited to announce that during the spring and summer some of our Gardening for a Wilder Kent volunteers will be opening their gardens and giving practical tips on how to make all types of gardens nature friendly. Each event will be focused on one or two specific topics, such as ponds or wilder lawns, and members of the team will be on hand to deal with questions. The relevant COVID-19 restrictions will be adhered to at each site. Booking is essential.
This is our first event and it gives you a chance to tour a garden of approximately a third of an acre featuring trees, shrubs, mixed flower beds, a vegetable plot and a pond along with a range of wildlife habitats. Timed visits will allow plenty of time to chat with the experienced volunteers and get tips and advice for developing your own garden.Â
By the end of the visit it is expected that you would:
- Understand that a nature friendly garden doesn’t need to be unkempt.
- Understand how to introduce wildlife friendly features in your own garden.
