The project has been funded by Biffa Award, a multi-million pound fund that helps to build communities and transform lives through awarding grants to community and environmental projects across the UK, as part of the Landfill Communities Fund.

The Ashford Meadows Project will enhance and restore flower-rich grasslands such as meadows, pastures, and woodland rides and glades in Ashford and the surrounding area.

The project will also enhance other important habitats such as hedgerows, ponds and the Trust’s network of Roadside Nature Reserves, all of which provide important ‘stepping stones’ in the local landscape, especially within more urban areas.
