Come together with fellow nature lovers for a rewarding morning at the beach! Help us keep Pegwell Bay clean, beautiful and safe by taking part in our spring beach clean-up. It’s a great way to protect local wildlife, enjoy the fresh sea air, and make a real difference.
We will be cleaning the Hoverport and Pegwell beach which is accessed via a path by the Viking Ship and not via the KCC Country Park. We will be meeting in the carparking field by the Viking Ship at 10am.
The event lasts for 2 hours and is open to all to join in. Children have to be supervised by a responsible adult. Litter sticks, hoops, and bags are provided. If you need gloves, please bring your own garden gloves; and wear appropriate clothing for weather on the day (windproof/rainproof if windy &/or raining).
Please also bring along your own water bottle, or refreshment, to quench your thirst!
Detailed access directions to the beach: We will be meeting on the parking field near the Viking Ship but if you are late please walk to the north-east corner of the picnic site (Ramsgate direction), then >> along a footpath adjacent to a field to a road , then >> turn right & walk down the (former hoverport access) road & at the bottom >> turn round to the left around the trees to the start of the sandy beach (above the saltmarsh/mudflats).
