Nestled between Marden and Staplehurst, this idyllic reserve boasts one of the best remaining examples of unimproved hay meadows in Kent.
Several ponds and fields are bordered by mature hedgerows, providing the perfect habitat for yellowhammers, swallows, reed warblers, and skylarks. A complex diversity of plants can be found at Marden Meadows, including orchids, daisies, vetches, and wild grasses. This rich natural heritage enables the reserve to act as a key donor meadow site for the Coronation Meadows Project, providing invaluable meadow seed to local restoration projects.
