Livestock Checking Volunteering

We're looking for Livestock Checkers to help be the eyes and ears of our Wardens on the sites where we have livestock giving us a hand to manage the Reserve.

Our Livestock Checkers assist the work of our Reserve Wardens by keeping a close eye on the livestock who help us to manage our sites. Volunteers visit sites on a specific day each week and report any issues to our Wardens. The volunteers will be offered full training in checking livestock and monitoring activity on these sites, as well as on-going support.

We have a range of livestock that help us in managing our sites to create the best habitats for wildlife. Our livestock does move between sites on a regular basis, so we may only be looking for temporary volunteer help in specific areas and this will be indicated on the application form on the relevant page.
