How you can help

Whether your interest lies in bird watching, angling, walking the dog, or simply enjoying the sea breeze you can really help. The Guardians of the Deep project is setting up a network of Coastal Guardians—to become the eyes and ears of the Kent coast. We need people who regularly visit the Kent coast to help with anything from:

  • Recording and reporting wildlife sightings to add to our knowledge of what lives around our coasts
  • Taking part in, or organising your own, beach cleans
  • Reporting strandings, pollution incidents, illegal activities to the relevant authorities
  • Promoting your favourite stretch of coast

Get involved

Perhaps you belong to a group that could help by linking coastal activities into your existing programme of events?

There are lots of training opportunities for those who would like to know more about marine conservation, all free of charge thanks to Heritage Lottery funding.
