Guided Walk: Birds, Butterflies and Blooms
About the event
Join Heather Silk, author of 'Wild Flowers of Kent Downland', for a walk in the grounds around the Romney Marsh Visitor Centre looking for birds, butterflies and blooming wildflowers. Spring flowers such as sea campion and lady's smock, as well as butterfly species including orange - tip and brimstone can sometimes be seen on the reserve in May. You may even be lucky enough to hear the distinctive bubbling song of the secretive cetti's warbler.
The Visitor Centre and cafe will be open during this event, so you can treat yourself to some refreshments and local products.
This guided walk is aimed at an adult audience. However 8 - 17 year olds may attend with an accompanying adult over 18.
