ALL FISC days now FULL. Kent Wildlife Trust is happy to announce that, in partnership with the Botanical Society for Britain and Ireland, we will be hosting three Field Identification Skills Certificates (FISC) at Tyland Barn in 2017.

FISC is becoming the standard for assessing botanical survey skills - there is currently no equivalent qualification. Plus you cannot fail! All attendees receive a certificate from the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland stating their botanical skill level. Useful advice is also given on how to progress to the next level of FISC.

A FISC starts with a morning lab session, where candidates identify plant species from all over the British Isles. After lunch attendees visit a secret location and spend around an hour and a half recording every plant they see.

The FISC costs £60 per person for the whole day, which includes lunch and transport to the secret site.

For more information, please visit BSBI's FISC page at www.bsbi.org.uk/field_skills.html or download the FISC information leaflet below.
