Help us to maintain and look after the wild spaces and wildlife friendly gardens. Working to keep these outdoor spaces accessible and safe, inspiring and attractive, allowing them to function as a resource for teaching and engaging communities in wildlife and nature.

A day in your life might include,,,

Weeding the cottage garden and pruning the roses, raking the hay from the meadows, planting plug-plats in the woodland, roping off the orchids, cleaning the sculptures, raking leaves, reducing plants in the large pond or building a patio for a new shed.

When would we like you to be available? 

Mondays or Thursdays 10am – 3pm.

Benefits to volunteering and training opportunities

Gain new gardening skills and learn about nature and wildlife in Kent and in our gardens. Meet and spend time with like minded people and get exercise outdoors. Opportunity to become a volunteer team leader and gain the First Aid at Work certificate. Good parking available and there is easy access to toilets, drinking water and indoor/outdoor seating for breaks.

Experience and skills required

No previous gardening or conservation management experience required as all training will be given. You will enjoy working in a team and occasionally on your own.
