About the event

Experience Nature friendly gardens

New for this season, some of our Gardening for a Wilder Kent volunteers are opening their gardens and giving practical tips on how to make all types of gardens nature friendly. Experienced garden advisors will be on hand to deal with questions and offer advice. We will continue to maintain social distancing and hygiene measures to minimise the risk of spreading covid. Booking is essential.

This 7-acre garden features flowers and shrubs for pollinators, wildlife ponds, areas of long grass, winter hibernation features & woodland with a variety of fungi.  This event gives you a chance to tour an award-winning nature friendly garden and get tips and advice for developing your own garden. Even if you only have a small area, some of the examples shown can be adapted to suit the amount of space available. Timed visits will allow plenty of time and space to chat with the experienced volunteers.  We are hoping to run a nature friendly plant stall.
