About the event

Is fracking a new energy source or an environmental nightmare?  This talk looks at hydraulic fracturing from its beginning and includes how gas and oil are generated, rock fracturing is achieved and how hydrocarbons are recovered.

We will address political, economic and environmental concerns.

Wheelchair accessible. Visitors in Wheelchairs have access to the visitors centre, three hides and most of the nature trail.

Free parking. No overnight parking. Please note that the approach road and parking areas have a rough surface and do not have lighting. Visitors are strongly recommended to bring a torch or other suitable means of illumination when arriving and departing
