Saving the Garden of England

Garden detective

Most of us know that our wildlife is under pressure from modern-day development. An extraordinary 2,000 species of plants and animals can be found in the average garden, from the tiniest money spider to the nationally rare hedgehog and red listed song thrush.

Kent Wildlife Trust are keen to find out more about the wildlife within your garden. All records of wildlife are of value, not just those of rare and threatened species. Showing the health of wildlife in your garden is important to enable us to find out how wildlife is prospering in your area.

We will be launching an online form to enable you to post your results in the coming weeks. With these results our experts will have a clearer idea of the spread of wildlife in urban / garden areas. In return for your hard work you will be entered into a draw and the winner will receive £50 to spend in any of Kent Wildlife Trust visitor centres.
