We are looking for friendly and knowledgeable individuals to represent the Trust out on the reserve by talking to visitors in the hides and on the trails, showing them the wildlife around them and answering any questions. Duties would also include monitoring hides and reporting back on maintenance, cleanliness and such issues, plus ensuring information and leaflets in the hides are up to date and relevant. You will be based out on the nature reserve, reporting into the visitor centre at the start and end of each duty.
Visitors use the reserve everyday of the week, therefore shifts can suit individuals. We are however particularly keen to develop the weekend rota and have a greater Trust presence on the reserve at this time. This volunteering opportunity would suit individuals who have a good knowledge of wildlife, are friendly and like to share their knowledge, and who know or are willing to learn more about the history of the reserve.
