Reporting rural crime
Kent Wildlife Trust are committed to protecting & managing land for the betterment of wildlife. We would like to ensure that your visit to our reserves / visitor centres is as pleasant as possible.
If in the unfortunate event however that you witness a criminal act whilst out and about we would ask you not to confront the individuals. It is of the utmost importance however that you report the incident to the authorities as soon as is safe for yourself to ensure that a record of the incident is recorded.
If you witness:
- Fly tipping
- Vandalism
- Illegal use of motor vehicles
- Unauthorised damage being inflicted on the landscape
- Individuals / groups worrying livestock
It is very important that you report the event to ensure that authorities are aware of the matter, and can appropriatly deal with the situation.
Kent Police’s Partnership and Crime Reduction Department has a dedicated team of eight rural partnership officers, led by Acting Sergeant Andy Small, Rural and Environmental Crime Co-ordinator.If you witness any activities on Kent Wildlife Trust managed properties please help us to help wildlife by reporting the incident to Kent Police.
