Spuckles Wood

£110,000 needed to restore and extend vital new land under the Trust’s management - ancient woodland and chalk grassland in the mid-Kent Downs.

Volunteering Overview

Kent Wildlife Trust (KWT) was founded in 1958 and is one of the largest of 47 Wildlife Trusts across the UK. We are supported by over 21,000 members and have the simple aim of making Kent and Medway a better place for our native wildlife.

West Kent Weekday Tasks

Note: Meet the wardens at Tyland Barn for 9.15am; alternatively meet on the reserve around 10am.  This is except for the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve tasks (no Tyland Barn pickup), where you should meet at the visitor centre at 9am.

Brenchley Woods

Brenchley is an ancient woodland made up of alder near the stream to large majestic beech and oak trees on the higher ground. There is also an important area of heathland (a very scarce habitat in Kent).
