Stockbury Hill Wood

A beautiful, diverse and species rich nature reserve situated near to to Maidstone. Please note that at the current time this reserve is not open for public visits.

The reserve consists mainly of yew, hornbeam and oak, with some beech. It isa good site for orchids, particularly bird's nest, butterfly, lady and fly, and it is also supports colonies of holly blue and orange tip butterflies.
