Four hectares of ancient chalk grassland and woodland some 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Denton Village.
Access is via Tappington Hall Farm (OS Map 179 TR 210452).Denton Bank displays typical chalk grassland flora and fauna. The bank has some fine specimens of early-purple orchid and cowslip, while later in the year, man, fly and fragrant orchids can be found. The woodland at the top of the slope provides shelter and is rich in bird life. However, the woodland scrub is encroaching onto the reserve and needs to be managed annually.
