The reserve covers 10 hectares of formerly flower-rich neutral meadow on the northern edge of Thornden Wood. It is currently subject to an agricultural tenancy and is heavily grazed, having been damaged by past management.
Access:
On foot only, via the Public Footpath crossing the site from Thornden Wood Road to a path leading south to Thornden Wood.

West Blean & Thornden Woods Nature Reserve lies to the south.
