Mapping a Living Landscape
Together with many other conservation experts, Kent Wildlife Trust has put together a map that identifies the areas in which we should target action for biodiversity, in order to restore and reconnect wildlife and produce a network of habitats that will give wildlife the opportunity to adapt to climate change. This network of Biodiversity Opportunity Areas (BOAs) not only stretches across Kent but links to that of other counties and forms the spatial expression of the South East England Biodiversity strategy.

The Kent Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) sets out what needs to be achieved in order to safeguard a future for biodiversity. The Kent Biodiversity Action Plan Partnership has endorsed the detailed network of Biodiversity Opportunity Areas for Kent. Kent Biodiversity Action Plan - BOA.
The South East England biodiversity strategy provides a framework for the delivery of biodiversity targets that guide and support all those who have an impact on biodiversity in the region and identifies the regional priority areas of opportunity for restoration and creation of BAP habitats.
