Romney Marsh Visitor Centre Garden Volunteers

Romney Marsh Visitor Centre Grounds

We're looking for volunteers to join our Romney Marsh Visitor Centre Garden team on a Thursday morning.

Our Visitor Centre is a place for those who love to be outside to meet, and we hope that they will leave our gardens feeling inspired to garden for wildlife in their own homes and communities.  The spaces around our Visitor Centre needs continuous upkeep from our highly committed volunteers.

You'll be carrying out lots of different activities in this role, from watering to weeding, planting to edging and general garden maintenance and creating new habitats and spaces for our visitors to explore.

We're looking for volunteers who are physically fit to work in the gardens.  You don't need to be an expert in gardening, but enthusiasm is a must! Volunteers need to be over 18 and you'll need to enjoy talking to people and working as part of our team.  With much of our gardens still to develop, we're looking for volunteers who can think creatively to help to make the most of our grounds.  Parts of our site are uneven and you will be asked to work with hand tools.

Our Garden team currently work on a Thursday morning from 10am throughout the spring - autumn months.

If you are interested in this role, please complete the application form (below) and return this to volunteering@kentwildlife.org.uk and we'll be back in contact for a quick chat and to arrange for you to trial volunteering with us.
