Events Volunteers

Our events take place across our Visitor Centres and reserves, and our volunteer team assist in the design, development and delivery of the events

We’re looking for volunteers to assist us as we deliver our series of public-facing family events. Ranging from craft workshops to outdoor theatre performances, these activities help us to encourage attendees to enjoy, engage and protect Kent’s natural environment. You’ll be helping with the preparation of events, welcoming attendees, stewarding, participating in craft activities as well as helping to set up and pack down after events. You’ll be assisting Kent Wildlife Trust in delivering exciting, engaging and creative events that help us to work with people who are interested in engaging with wildlife.

We’re looking for friendly and outgoing volunteers who are happy to get stuck in! You don’t need to be a wildlife expert as we will provide support and information throughout your volunteering experience. We’re looking for those with a creative flair who can help us deliver high quality and engaging events that encourage a lifelong interest in Kent’s wildlife.  Volunteers must be over 16 and confident to talk to members of the public.

Our events take place on different days and times (these are all detailed in the application form below) and we're looking for volunteers to help at various venues including Tyland Barn, Romney Marsh and Sevenoaks.

We are also looking for volunteers who can assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks to help us prepare for the promotion and production of events at our Tyland Barn HQ (near Maidstone).  This work will take place during working hours on a weekday.  You'll need to have great attention to detail, be comfortable using a computer and happy to get involved with all areas of event planning.
