Your company’s commitment to wildlife can be as big or small as you want it to be: a collection box at reception, staff members attending one of our fundraising events or getting staff together to organise a dress down day or sponsored walk with your customers. Below are just a few of the companies who have decided to take an active part in protecting wildlife for the future.

"As you know we are a quarrying company engaged in an industry that is often incorrectly accused of harming the environment. We often take advantage of the restoration of worked out quarries to improve the bio diversity of land and the plans for the new extension to our quarry at east Peckham in the Medway valley is a recent example. We worked closely with John Bennett and Richard Moyse of KWT together with the Environment Agency to provide plans for a new wildlife conservation area in the quarry when it is worked out. Quarrying will begin this year and over a five to eight year period extensive new reed beds and shallow lakes will be created in place of the current barren field. It is hoped that the habitat for species such as Kingfishers, Otters, various birds and reptiles will be enhanced and increased as a result of these plans. We found that the detailed discussions and visits made with the KWT were invaluable in helping us plan to deliver this benefit to the local community of the area."
