Old Park Hill Volunteer Trainee Warden

Salary: This is an unpaid voluntary role however, travel expenses and a tailored training programme will be provided.

Location: Dover

Are you looking for experience in the environment sector? We have a Volunteer Trainee Opportunity available to start in March/April 2018.

Applications close at 12 noon on Friday 16th March. Interviews will be held Monday 26th March, 9 am to 4 pm at the Dover Town Council Offices, Dover.

You will help with assisting the East Kent Downland Warden and the Hill at the Heart team in the management of Old Park Hill Nature Reserve and a variety of nature reserves in the Dover and East Kent Downs areas, specifically with:

  1. Practical management
  2. Community engagement
  3. Working with/leading volunteers
  4. Working with stock graziers and Trust livestock
  5. Surveys and monitoring
  6. Publicity and promotion of the Trust and its work
  7. Health and safety

Training and certification will be given in specific skills where this is required.
