Face to Face Membership Recruiter (Field Sales)

Salary: £10 per hour basic pay plus uncapped commission of at least £21.60 per membership, over the first two per day.

Closing date: Sunday 31st December 2017

Location: Field-based, working across Kent.

Part-time flexible working hours 15 per week, either on Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Working directly with Kent Wildlife Trust recruiting long-term members through face to face recruiting. Playing an important part in the membership team and identifying venues. Full training will be given.

The job:

Working directly for Kent Wildlife Trust to recruit long-term members through conversation and engagement. This will be carried out throughout Kent at various events and venues, including the Trust’s four visitor centres and reserves. Using attractive displays and materials, you will be the face of the Trust and inspire people to join as members through ‘soft’ sales techniques. Delivering an increased membership/supporter base throughout Kent using face to face presentation skills and confident communication, you will regularly achieve and exceed membership sign-up targets to ensure the Trust continues to grow.

You:

We are looking for people who are driven, confident and have excellent communication skills. You will need to be someone who isn’t afraid to engage in conversation with members of the public and communicate the features and benefits of our membership products.

You will need to complete reports and paperwork, so good levels of Maths and English are required along with competent organisation and administration skills. This role is performance measured to ensure the Trust maximises the opportunities through recruiting new members in this way.

As well as recruiting members, the post-holder will be expected to play an important role in the membership team, identifying venues and other recruitment opportunities. Full training will be given. Working hours are flexible but the role involves weekend and bank holiday working. Our recruiters must have their own vehicle insured for business use (a mileage allowance is provided).
