In addition to enjoying a stunning array of wildlife in beautiful natural surroundings, visitors can take part in:

  • Guided walks with wildlife experts
  • Small mammal identification tour - observe mammals in their own habitat (11.00am)
  • Family activities: Mini beast hunt, mosaic art competition with Hartley Art group and UCCA Butterfly crafts
  • Wildlife photography with professional photographers ‘Wild About Kent’

PLUS! Evening moth trapping and night time critters (8:30pm – 10:00pm)

Queendown Warren nature reserve is named after its origins as a rabbit warren and now covers almost 80 hectares. It is rich in chalk downland flora such as fragrant orchids, as well as insect life - including the rare Adonis blue butterfly. The landscape features beautiful woodland, and sheep and cattle graze throughout the seasons.
