To mark the occasion, Mr Graham Negus and his wife Janet, from Faversham, were invited to the Trust’s HQ at Tyland Barn last week, to receive their membership pack, gift pack and a bouquet of flowers presented to them by the Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr. Denise Joy.

Mr Negus said: “We were thrilled to receive this unexpected publicity and pleased that we are doing our bit to help protect the precious wildlife of this lovely county. We would urge more Kent residents to support this important conservation work.”

Kent Wildlife Trust’s Head of Fundraising, Phillip King, said: “It has been an exceptional anniversary year for the Trust with a Guinness World Record for creating the largest bird seed cake; launching the biggest ever wildlife survey in Kent; and now we’ve gained our 30,000th member.”
